Scanning

  • DRUGSTORE PICTURES

    • These are the pictures we used to get developed at the Drugstore.
    • They came in various sizes: 2”x3”, 3”x5”, 4”x6”, 5”x7”, and 8”x10”.
    • The pictures are scanned using a fast scanner, which scans around 300 pictures in a resolution of 600 dpi, in an hour.

  • FADED PICTURES

    • Faded pictures are enhanced to bring their color back.

  • LARGE PICTURES

    • Digitizing a large photograph in pieces then stitching the pieces together creates a seamless digital memory.

  • FRAGILE PHOTOS

    • Fragile photos are scanned on the flatbed scanner at 600 dpi.

  • SLIDES

    • Slides are scanned at 2400 dpi, and enhanced, as necessary, to restore color.

  • NEGATIVES

    • Some negatives are older than others.
    • All negatives are scanned at 2400 dpi.

  • PHOTO ALBUMS AND SCRAPBOOKS

    • Physical albums take up a lot of space.
    • Digitizing the albums preserves them for the future.
    • Photo Albums and Scrapbooks could be taken apart or scanned page by page.
    • The photos or pages are organized in folders for easy access.
